Embark on a 21-day trekking odyssey through the breathtaking landscapes of Pakistan. Starting with the excitement of arriving in Islamabad, your journey takes off with a thrilling flight or a scenic drive to Skardu, where the adventure truly begins.

Trekking through rugged terrain and crossing awe-inspiring glaciers, each day brings new challenges and stunning vistas. From the picturesque village of Askole to the legendary campsite at Concordia, where you’ll be surrounded by some of the world’s highest peaks, including the mighty K-2.

With rest days for acclimatization and opportunities to explore the local culture, every moment is filled with excitement and discovery. Marvel at the majesty of the Baltoro Glacier, cross thrilling rope bridges, and soak in the serenity of Saicho village.

As your journey comes to an end, reflect on the incredible experiences you’ve had and the unforgettable memories you’ve made. From Skardu back to Islamabad, every step of the way is an adventure waiting to be experienced.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Islamabad

Arrive in Islamabad. You will be met upon arrival by your trekking guide and transferred to our hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, possible city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Day 02: Fly to Skardu or drive to Chilas

Weather permitting; we take the short but spectacular one hour flight from Islamabad to Skardu. Once in Skardu we will check into our hotel and enjoy free time exploring the area. Skardu Valley, in Baltistan is located 2500m above sea level and is hub for trekkers and tourists exploring this mountainous region. If poor weather does not allow us to fly, we will drive on the Karakoram Highway to Chilas (B)

Day 03: Free day in Skardu or drive from Chilas to Skardu (2500 m)

We either have a free day for exploring in and around Skardu or we are completing our drive from Chilas to Skardu.

Day 04: Skardu to Askole (3050 metre)

We drive in 4×4 vehicles through spectacular scenery to Askole (3000m) in the Braldu Valley, passing through the infamous Braldu Gorge.

Day 05: Trek to Jolla (3300m)

We will leave the last village and trek to Jolla. We traverse across the Biafo Glacier which is 37 miles long and have lunch at Korefong. We continue towards the Panma (Dumordo) river and reach Jolla after crossing the river by a rope bridge.

Day 06: Trek to Payu (3450 m)

We start today’s trek on a relatively easy trail for 3-4 hours before crossing the Bardumal campsites along a 2 km stretch of sandy river beach. After a lunch break, we continue towards Paiyu for another 2 to 3 hours. From your campsite you will have a view of Baltoro glacier.

Day 07: Payu Free day

Free day in Payu for altitude acclimatization.

Day 08: Payu- Urdukas (4050 m)

Today’s trek will lead us across the famous Baltoro Glacier. En-route we will have a magnificent view of the Trango Tower (6237m) to (6617m.) and the Paiju (6601m) mountain ranges.

Day 09: Urdukas-Goro (4380 m)

Today we trek along the Baltoro Glacier toward Goro. On our right we will see Yarmandu Glacier, which joins Baltoro Glacier at Byango, as well as Musherbrum peak (7821m). We have lunch at Byango and then to continue along the Baltoro Glacier to Goro, from here we can see Miter Peak (6025m) and Gasherbrum IV (7925m).

Day 10: Goro- Concordia (4650 m)

Today we trek to Concordia which brings us to what many consider the most spectacular mountain camp anywhere in the world. Concordia is the area which has the largest concentration of glaciers and peaks in the world. From here you will have an awe-inspiring view of some of the world’s highest peaks, including K-2 (8611m), Broad Peak (8068m), Gasherbrum IV (7980m),Chogolingsa 7664m) and others.

Day 11: Concordia to K2 base camp (5000 m)

We will spend a free day at the Concordia or have an optional day excursion to the K2 Base Camp area.

Day 12: Concordia-Ali Camp (5050 m)

Today we trek to the upper Baltoro and then to the Vigne glacier over a mix of terrain of morraine boulders to straight forward level ice. We are trek on the pure white Vigne Glacier surrounded by dramatic peaks. We have an early night at Ali Camp in preparation for an early start and a tough day ahead.

Day 13: Ali Camp-Gondo Goro Pass to Khuspang (4833 m)

An early start is required to utilise the good snow condition to cross the pass safely. On the top to Gondogoro La you will find the most spectacular view on earth. From here you can see the K2, Broad Peak, G1, G2, Muztagh Tower and towards Hushe side you will find Laila peak, Ninchi peak and many others. Please note: Gondogoro La crossing is dependent on favourable weather and safe conditions on the trail to the pass. In the case of adverse conditions we descend the mountain via the same route.

Day 14: Khuspang-Saicho (3400 m)

Today we trek down to Shaicho following the Ghondogoro Glacier. En-route we have a beautiful view of Laila peak (6200m) and Mashabrum peak (7821m).

Day 15: Free day in Saicho

Full free in Saicho to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Day 16: Saicho-Hushey (2750 m)

occasional stream. Eventually we reach the village of Hushe and the end of an amazing trek.

Day 17: Skardu

A jeep journey will take us though some small villages to Skardu.

Day 18: Skardu

Free day in Skardu.

Day 19: Islamabad or Besham

Transfer to the airport for flight to Islamabad. If flights are unavailable we will drive to Besham instead.

Day 20: Free day in Islamabad or drive from Beshak to Islamabad

Free day in Islamabad or drive down the Karakoram Highway to Islamabad in the case of flight cancelation.
